How To Boost The Cell Signal To A Inseego 8000 Hotspot.

Do you need to improve your Internet speeds by boosting the cellular signal to Sprint's Inseego 8000 Hotspot. A stronger cell signal can mean faster Internet speeds. We offer a several different options to boost the cell signal strength to your 8000 MiFi:

Attach A Inseego 8000 Hotspot External Antenna

A cost effective way to increase the cellular signal strength is to attach an external antenna. The 8000 has two TS-9 Test ports located on the side (covered by plugs). We have an external antenna adapter (see products below) that connects to this ports and to an antenna. We offer a variety of cellular antennas you can attach for buildings or vehicles.

How Well Does This Work? The key to getting a better cell signal with an external antenna is to mount the antenna where the signal is better - outside window, outdoors, etc. The better the cell signal where you place the external antenna, the better data speeds will be.

Best Antenna Option? The best antenna option is a directional antenna (Wilson Wide Band Directional Antenna). It's best to mount outdoors, pointed towards the your nearest service provider tower. Also minimize the amount of cable to the antenna to reduce cable loss. A 20 foot cable works well.

Powered Signal Booster Option

A powered cellular amplifier works by taking the available wireless signal, amplifying it, then rebroadcasting it to and from your cellular device. You can also use powered amplifiers including cellular repeater type systems that don't connect to your device at all. We list several of these types of cellular signal booster systems below.
